Vale of Lune 4ths 16 v 10 Sedgley Park 3rds

Sedgeley Park arrived a little late for a 2.15 Kick Off so the match started at 2.30 allowing Sedgeley to group and prepare for the later Kick Off. Vale 4th XV have been having a difficult time in recent weeks mainly due to disruptions with calls from the higher sides in the Vale. Paul Antcliffe their Skipper had worked miracles in producing sides consistently for both home and away fixtures. He was expecting a difficult game with Sedgeley today and so it proved to be. A dire forward battle ensued and Vale eventually came out on top. At half time Vale were ahead at 16 points to 3 and seemed to be comfortable. Late in the second half Sedgely scored close in and the resultant conversiontook the score to 16 points to 10. Vale were then uder continual pressure but managed to hold out to the Final whistle.
