Discipline

In recent weeks we have had two games abandoned by Referees who when officiating at these games have seen acts of violence and heard actions to incite violence. The abusive language used against the said officials will not be tolerated by The Leagues Committee.

At the start of the season every Club signed up to a "Code of Conduct" document as a condition of entry into the Leagues.

We will enforce the conditions of that document in carrying out sanctions where we have direct knowledge of actions of an abusive nature. The actions will entail the removal of points with the ultimate sanction of removal from the Leagues.

It is an unwritten Rule of your Committee that we will always support our Referees. We in fact have taken action to support them historically. I am certain our Refereeing personnel appreciate this.

Likewise we reserve the right to act as a League organisation in administering the Leagues in a strict and fair way within the overall object of the Leagues. In cases - as above - we will carry out certain actions to control the spread of this current phase of indiscipline. A Club who feels they might disagree with the action taken has the clear right of appeal.

We feel sure we can rely on support from the officials of both the Lancashire Committee and within that Committee the officials of Lancashire Disciplinary. In fact guidance from them would be appreciated.
