What the leagues are all about
Andy Carlton of Oswestry e-mailed me at 11.30am on Saturday to say the Oswestry pitch was frozen and the game between Oswestry 3 and Sandbach 4 would be off.
However 40 minutes later I received another e-mail from Andy saying he'd contacted Sandbach and the ground at Sandbach was OK. He also said that he and the Oswestry team were off to Sandbach to play the game away and save another game from being postponed.
The Miller Homes Committee commend Andy for bringing the spirit of Rugby back into the game.
I am sure that Oswestry would be quite happy because they won a hard fought game 26 - 15.
Well done to all the team for getting the game played. In addition well done to Sandbach for getting the game played.
