England Counties XV vs. Irish Clubs XV
Preston Grasshoppers RFC are delighted to be selected as the first Northern club to be awarded the hosting rights to an England Counties fixture and believe this will be an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the passion that exists for the game in our area. We will be staging the England Counties XV vs. Irish Clubs XV at our Lightfoot Green ground on FRIDAY 16th MARCH 2012, KICK OFF 19.30.
To send the message that the game is alive and kicking in the North of England, we would like to attract a bumper crowd to show support not only for the two teams but for the game itself. We also believe that this is an excellent opportunity for all clubs to benefit from having this showpiece fixture in the North West of England.
We have set ticket prices at £10 for Adults and £5 for concessions (Students/OAP’s) and will admit under 16’s accompanied by an Adult in for free. (Please note that proof of age may be required).
To encourage support for the game we are offering your club the chance to sell tickets to your members and supporters and retain 25% of the ticket price for every £10 Adult ticket sold. (Please note that this offer does not apply to the £5 concession priced tickets which can only be purchased on the night).
So why not make an evening of it for your club? It may be an opportunity for your club to develop your own packages for the night by hosting a pre-match meal in your clubhouse together with transport to and from the game? We will provide free parking and priority access for your bus/coach so that you can plan a timetable that suits your members and supporters.
Please note that £5 tickets for concessions cannot be purchased in advance and will only be available on the night by paying on the gate. These can be pre-arranged in advance and will be provided by PGRFC as your transport arrives at Lightfoot Green to ensure an efficient entry into the ground.
With the game being played the night before St. Patrick’s Day we will be providing appropriately themed entertainment and promotions whilst there will be refreshments available within the ground and stand seating for a limited number on a first come first served basis.
