Anything to do with the leagues

Opt out

If a club opts out of a cup competition does it effect their teams who are in lower leagues. Just noticed 2 premiership sides have opted out. Is it like the league when you concede a game your other teams also lose points ??
We always have complaints about teams loading cup sides , surely this will cause further debate so early on in the season

No idea how this would work.
for example, as I understand it Sale FC only have (or had, last season) a first and second XV.
If it's their 2nd XV who have withdraw (and I genuinely don't know) who could be "punished" ?

Both Caldy and Sale only have one team in the NOWIRUL leagues so no loading is possible. However, Fylde 3 have opted out of the Jug and Fylde 4 is still in the Shield.
