Code of Conduct contract & League Fees

Postby forumadmin » Fri Aug 25, 2017 9:09 am

According to this:-

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LBi5aH8JJXTEB39ug-PBG5b-Df0MEXQk2cl0gCxGePY/pubhtml

There are still a number of clubs who have not sent their signed Code of Conduct contract and League fees to Greg King the NOWIRUL Treasurer.

Deadline 27th August. Sanctions for not complying on time:-

Rule 23:
"Any team not having paid its membership fee or returned its "Code of Conduct" form by August 27th will be deducted 4 points and for each subsequent week will be deducted a further 4 points per week."

It is not as though the sending of a signed Code of Conduct and League fees should come as a surprise because it happens every season. It is even enshrined in the rules:-
Rule 23:
Any team not having paid its membership fee or returned its "Code of Conduct" form by August 27th will be deducted 4 points and for each subsequent week will be deducted a further 4 points per week.

Clubs should really keep an eye on the NOWIRUL website for updates and what is required of them. Once a week, or if time is tight at least once a month. The notice about League fees has been there since early July. Relying on email reminders is fraught with danger because many of the email addresses bounce and the club contact details on the NOWIRUL website are not kept up to date. Many clubs have Pitchero websites with contact forms for communication rather than email addresses which mean any contact is labour intensive and not amenable to automation. Sending 103 automated emails is fairly easy and the work of a moment, but contacting each club through a website contact form is a very time-consuming no-no.

I've been informed that contact details can be obtained for each club from the RFU GMS system. I've checked, and they can. The one club I checked had email addresses that had already bounced. So even this depends on the information being kept up to date. :-((

All information which is wrong means extra work.

As an addendum to getting contact details from the RFU GMS system. Does anyone know an easy way of finding the link for each club's information?

The links are usually of this form:-

https://clubname.gms.rfu.com/

Knowing the precise form of the Club name is the hard part. Does it end in rfc or rufc or fc or rugby or some other configuration?
