Vale 3rds 38 v 19 Marple 2nds

pic1/jpg

Marple paid their first ever visit to Vale today. I hope they felt welcome at the Vale. Reg Robinson and myself visited Marple towards the end of last season and saw a well trained disciplined side

We were expecting a most competitive game. Both sides were well matched and posession from all set phases of the game were pretty much equal. Marple with one or two key players not available provided Vale with a hard game. Experience in the Vale threequater line was the difference between the two sides and Vale came out on top due to one or two astute breaks.

David Fagan from The North Lancs referees group was in charge. thanks David

Was this November or the start of August, shirt sleeves were visible on the part of the spectators. ?
