Vale 3rds 24 v 10 Tyldesley 2nds

Tyldesley had little time to prepare for the match having arrived late due to considerable traffic problems on the M6.

Vale generally are a young side and struggled in the early stages to break through a most experienced and well organised Tyldesley side. In the final stages Vale were able to break away and produce some winning Rugby to move into second place in Division 2.

Tyldesley caused them a lot of trouble even though their preparation was affected and they too with no doubt will move up a most competitive Division 2.

Chris Johnson previously a North Lancs Federation Referee and now Society handled the game expertly, thanks to him.
