Just like to remind Clubs taking part in Cup matches this weekend about Rule 10 b. In the event of inclement weather or a ground unfit to play THE HOST CLUB SHOULD EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITY OF PLAYING THE GAME AT THE AWAY VENUE or on a neutral ground on the nominated date. If this is not possible the Leagues Fixtures Secretary will nominate the date for rearranging the game.

We have been in discussions with the RFU Rugby Development group about extending the function of our Pool system. We have renamed it, now called POOL/CASUAL RUGBY. The aim of the function of this button, accessed at the top of the Home page, is to assist teams to gain non-League fixtures when they have gaps in their Fixtures List. It can also help teams who are not part of our League system and any teams who might drop out during the season. I hope it is of help!
Rule 19 Amended
At our regular Committee Meeting we decided to rescind part of Rule 19 concerning Concedes. This season we will not be adopting the double concede Rule in April.
The LBS and BEST Finals
At a Committee Meeting yesterday evening and after lengthy discussions, looking at the appeals from 5 Clubs looking to hold our Finals we can now announce that the BEST Finals will be held at the Wirral Club and the LBS Finals will be held at the Aspull Club. Thanks to all five Clubs for taking the time to appeal to hold the Finals and hopefully all will apply for next season. F.S.

Rule 13 --Again
Man Off !!!
Ladies/Gents, Please note - an incident again yesterday - a game moving to an un-contested scrummage in The North West Leagues does not mean a player has to leave the field !!! Please note our Referees, no removal of a player to be enforced !!! F.S.
County Couriers Div. 2 North Vale of Lune 3rd XV 72 pts v 40 pts North West Mercians 1st XV
The Mercians arrived at Powderhouse Lane with 7 players - an extreme effort but must be noted that our Rules do allow sides to fulfil fixtures when there might be a depletion in players, to prevent conceding - and enjoyed a most competitive high speed game after the necessary loan of players had been completed. Maybe numbers of concedes and sides leaving us would be reduced considerably if Clubs/Sides travelled or fulfilled their fixtures in cases such as the above.
