Matters Arising.          None.              No progress to report on the Adult Review

Sponsorship                 Fred said that all sponsors are expected to continue with their support for the coming season with the possible exception of ‘Film my match’. The C B’s of Lancashire and Cheshire have agreed to donate £2500 between them to support referees but this has to be claimed. Ian Cosens has agreed to carry on seeking new sponsors to provide further support.

Finance                        Greg King presented accounts for the season Which at the present moment showed a healthy balance in the league account and also a healthy balance in the Benevolent Fund. There are still one or two receipts and payments to finalise but he expects the final figure to slightly ahead of this time last year.

Finals                           Our cup finals at Eccles and Sandbach both went off well with winners, losers and Sponsors all having a good day. The Benevolent Fund received contributions from both venues. Both clubs would be welcome to bid for the Finals again in future seasons.

Dinner                         The Presentation Dinner held at Bowdon RFC was one of the most successful to date with a record number of attendees at 286. The 2016 Dinner will be back at Bowdon again in 2016 as it is the only venue available on the date required. It was agreed that dinners will be booked 5 years in advance in future as both Preston Grassshoppers and Bowdon have a heavy demand on their facilities.

Applications                Last season it was disappointing to have lost 19 teams either by resignation or exclusion through the season. However 23 applications have been received to join or re-join for the season 2015/2016 which includes 4 from Cumbria who were forced to leave 3 seasons ago and a further 2 are expected from newly formed clubs namely Orrell St. James and Cheshire Mercenaries with the possibility that Bedians 1 might wish to withdraw from the National Leagues and join NOWIRUL. It was good to see that Acton Nomads now feel strong enough to progress from our leagues and Join the RFU Leagues.

Rules Alterations        Reg. Robinson presented two rules alteration which were to be put to the AGM later in the evening. The first was to bring Division 1 in line with the Premiership regarding the number of players required to fulfil a fixture and the second was to alter the titles of the personnel on the rules committee simply to reflect the changing of titles within the committee. Both received full support from all present.

Medical Officer          At the Presentation Dinner Fred. Had a conversation with our MC, Mark Ashley where it transpired that his wife, Sara, was a Medical Doctor and would be willing to act as Medical Officer to the leagues to advise on such matters as may be appropriate. She is known professionally as Dr.Sara Shackleton, is very highly qualified, and would like to be an Honorary member of the committee. Accepted unanimously.

A.O.B.                                    None.
