It is with a feeling of sorrow we have to report a tragic incident last Saturday in the game between the Aldwinians 5th XV and Ashton Under Lyne 2nd XV. Peter Bradshaw of the Aldwinians Club collapsed in open play during the match and later passed away after undergoing an operation in hospital the evening of the match

Ashton-on-Mersey conceded their 2nd team match at Pendle but played their 3rd team against Oswestry and so both teams lose all points plus an extra two. When will these Clubs learn!!! In addition Aspull 2 were excluded from the Leagues when conceding for the 4th time yesterday. R.R

Article from Carlisle Rugby Club who have so far this season only had one home game because of Teams not travelling to Carlisle.All Teams who cryoff in Division 1 must remember that the fixture is now reversed and they have to travel for the second game. Failure to do that will leave them with 2 concedes. That is the maximum allowed in Division 1. Any more and all the teams from that Club would be expelled. All for not travelling a bit further than normal. One other point I have already rearranged games to help out Clubs travelling North. I only have to be asked, sometimes it's possible, sometimes it's not. RR

Ormskirk 1st team conceded against Leigh 1st team in the Lancashire Trophy yesterday 6th November. Because of that under Rule 13 all their other teams have been excluded from the Raging Bull Cups.
